This Privacy Policy explains how The Hills Driving School LLC("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use DriveEdCA (the "Service").

• Account information: name and email address when you create an account.
• Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or payment credentials on our own servers.
• Certificate information: full legal name, date of birth, and mailing address, which you provide after passing the final test so we can mail your completion certificate.
• Course progress: which lessons, quizzes, and tests you have completed.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type and device, used to keep the Service working correctly.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the course, including tracking your progress
• To process payment for the course
• To mail your official certificate of completion
• To respond to support requests
• To maintain the security and integrity of the Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate DriveEdCA, including:

• Clerk — account authentication and login
• Stripe — payment processing
• Amazon SES — transactional email delivery
• Our hosting and database providers, to run the Service

These providers are only permitted to use your information as needed to provide their services to us.

4. Certificate Mailing

The name, date of birth, and mailing address you submit after passing the final test are used solely to prepare and mail your certificate of completion, and are not used for any other purpose.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and course records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and maintain accurate business records.

6. Minors

DriveEdCA's course is intended for California teens (15½ and older) and adults working toward a driver's license. If you are under 18, we recommend a parent or guardian review this Policy with you.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request access to, deletion of, or correction of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
